Aischum Lake County, Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Lake County on March 8, 1843.
Anamickee Alpena County, Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Alpena County on March 8, 1843.
Bleeker Menominee County, Michigan Set off in 1861 changed to Menominee County in 1863.
Brown Brown Co., Wisconsin Formed in 1818 from unorganized territory when Michigan Territory was expanded to include area west of Lake Michigan upon formation of the state of Illinois. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Brown County, Wisconsin.
Cheonoquet Montmorency County, Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Montmorency County on March 8, 1843.
Crawford Crawford Co. Wisconsin Formed in 1818 from unorganized territory when Michigan Territory was expanded to include area west of Lake Michigan upon formation of the state of Illinois. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Crawford County, Wisconsin. Note: There is a present day Crawford County Michigan
Des Moines Des Moines County, Iowa Formed in 1834 from unorganized territory. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Des Moines County, Iowa.
Dubuque Dubuque County, Iowa Formed in 1834 from unorganized territory. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Dubuque County, Iowa.
Iowa Iowa County, Wisconsin Formed in 1830 from part of Crawford County. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Iowa County, Wisconsin.
Isle Royale Keweenaw County Michigan Isle Royale County formed in 1875 from part of Keweenaw County. Returned to Keweenaw County in 1897.
Kanotin Iosco County Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Iosco County on March 8, 1843.
Kautawaubet Wexford County Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Wexford County on March 8, 1843.
Kayakee Clare County Michigan Created April 1, 1840, changed to Clare County on March 8, 1843.
Keskkauko Charlevoix County Michigan
Emmet County Michigan
Formed in 1840 from part of Mackinac County. Renamed Charlevoix County in 1843. Annexed to Emmet County in 1853. Reformed as Charlevoix County from Emmet County in 1869.
Manitou Charlevoix County Michigan
Leelanau County Michigan
Formed in 1855 from parts of Emmet County and Leelanau County. County government was disbanded in 1861 and attached for administrative purposes to Mackinac County. In 1865, it was attached to Leelanau and reattached to Mackinac in 1869. The county was abolished in 1895 and absorbed by Charlevoix County and Leelanau County.
Meegisee Antrim County Michigan Set off in 1840 changed to Antrim County in 1843.
Michilimackinac Mackinac County Michigan County laid out in 1818 organized in 1840 as Mackinac County
Mikenauk Roscommon County Michigan Formed in 1840 changed to Roscommon County in 1843.
Milwaukee Milwaukee County Wisconsin Formed in 1834 from part of Brown County. Transferred to Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and continues as Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
Negwegon Alcona County Michigan Formed in 1840 changed to Alcona County in 1843.
Notipekago Mason County Michigan Formed in 1840 changed to Mason County in 1843.
Okkuddo Otsego County Michigan Formed in 1840 changed to Otsego County in 1843.
Omeena Grand Traverse County Formed in 1840 from part of Mackinac County. Annexed to Grand Traverse County in 1853.
Reshkauko Emmet County Michigan Formed in 1840 changed to Emmet County in 1843.

Wyandot Cheboygan County Michigan Formed in 1840 from part of Mackinac County. Annexed to Cheboygan County in 1853.
