Killed and Wounded in the Seventh Michigan Cavalry
(Grand River Daily Eagle - 23 May 1864)
 

A friend allows us to copy from a private letter the list of killed and wounded in the Seventh Michigan Cavalry from the 6^th to the 12^th inst. M.A. Shafer, Stewart of the regiment says in his communication that the list is complete, and also that Lieut. Thomas A. Edie, of the Sixth Cavalry, was killed--shot through the head, living only about one hour afterwards--while gallantly leading Company "A" in a charge against the enemy:
