More Than One Hundred New Students On Membership Roll

New Professors Installed

Christian Reformed Theological Seminary,
Affiliated With Calvin,
Will Also Open Today

Calvin college opened its doors yesterday morning to begin another year's work. More than 10 new students were enrolled, but it is expected more than 75 will be enrolled this morning. It is believed the total number of students will be 400 this year, the largest in the school's history.

Today, when the school formally opens, two new professors will be installed, Prof. Teimen DeVries of the University of Chicago, who will occupy the chair of modern languages and elocution, and John Niewdorp, who will teach the inorganic sciences. The old rector, Prof. Foppe TenHoor, will make his closing address, while the new rector, Prof. H. Heyns, will give the opening address and declare the school formally opened.

Seminary Opening

Calvin college was redecorated during the summer and everything is in readiness for the year's work. B. Sevensma will take the place of the S. S. Postma as a member of the board of trustees and treasurer of the school.

The Christian Reformed Theological seminary, affiliated with Calvin college, will also open today. There will be about 10 new students enrolled in the seminary the largest in years, the next graduating class having 14 members and the second class 12.
