Died - In Blissfield, January 27, Frederick Wm., infant son of Charles and Amelia Corey;
aged 17 mos.and 18 days of Typhoid Fever.
David Steere, one of the oldest of the old settlers of this county, died at the residence
of his son,B.W.Steere at Adrian. He was in his 91st year.
Mrs. Seeley, who recently came with her husband from Ohio, to this village, in the hope
that a change ofclimate would benefit her health, died on Sunday morning in the 44th year of her age.
Died - DePuy- May 16th Mrs. Laura, wife of John DePuy, aged 29 years, 1 month, and 10 days, of inflammationof the stomach.
Mrs. DePuy came to this state with her husband about six years ago, and lived for nearly 3years at Adrian, where she sought the Lord, and united
with the Presbyterian Church. On coming toBlissfield, she brought a church letter and joined the Presbyterian Church here. Her last sickness wasshort,
but she was a great sufferer, and in the midst of intense suffering, her trust was firm in herSavior. Her funeral was attended at the family
residence at 2 p.m., May 17th. A large circle of friendsand relatives were in attendance. Her remains were taken to Wabash, Indiana, her birth place
and homeuntil the last 6 years. In her late home she leaves a sorrowing husband only to mourn her loss; and aroundher home a host of friends
who deeply sympathize with the companion left alone to fight the battle of humanlife.
The wife of Mr. N.H.Goff, whom many readers will remember, died at Black Wolf, TN; April 16th
after anillness of one week. The deceased was formerly a resident of Blissfield, whose amiable qualities endeared
her to a large circle of friends and who now mourn her sudden and unexpected death.
Mead, Minerva - Funeral Tuesday at Blissfield Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Minerva Mead. Born in Berkshier
County, Massachusetts in November 1800. Maiden name Gardner. Married to Darius Mead
in 1820, mother of 4children. Came to Michigan in 1833-settled in Blissfield.
She died after a sickness of 3 days at the ageof 77.
