I am searching for information regarding Millers in Big Rapids circa 1901, specifically an Andrew or John Miller and their descendants. Andrew was born circa 1847 and John in 1851 in county Bruce or Grey, Ontario, Canada. Their father was Robert John Miller of Scotland and mother was Mary (?maiden name) (1818-1901) from Glasgow, Scotland. Both Andrew and John Jr. were living in Ontario at the time of the 1851,1861 and 1871 census for Ontario. John was still there on the 1881 census, but Andrew was not. Either John or Andrew was dead before 1901, with the surviving one still living in Big Rapids according to their mother's obituary. Can anyone tell me anything that might help me locate the descendants of either Andrew or John, or details of their deaths? They were farmers in Ontario, but occupation unknown thereafter. Does anybody have a death date for James Edgar Atkinson b. 1864 Canada...His daughter, my grandmother, Beulah Lyle Atkinson was born July 12, 1904 Morley, Mecosta County, Michigan. I am also researching Audie Cook (Beulah's birth certificate) or Howard (an origianal marriage certificate given to me by my grandfather) b. ca 1882, Michigan Marriage certificate states father is John Howard. Olive Woolworth b. April 2, 1876 Morley, Mecosta County, Michigan. Father's name is Harlan Emerson Woolworth b. Seeking information on John Baker FULLERTON II who was b 18 Jul 1836 in Bridgewater, Washtenaw Co, MI. In about 1867 he married Mrs. Mary J. WORTH ARNOLD. John Baker FULLERTON II died 20 Sep 1906 and is buried in Aetna Cemetery, Aetna Township, Mecosta Co., MI. Would like to find out what he was doing in Mecosta Co as I cannot place him there in prior years.

MECOSTA COUNTY: From a 1910 Census for Mecosta County, Millbrook Twp, I have information on the family of AMES, Thomas M. who was age 49, born in Penn.; (parents from NY & Penn); married to Elisabeth M, (Moran ?) age 33 born NY; parents from Ireland. I have been researching my Ames family and want to know who the parents of this particular Thomas M. Ames are; so I can either use or toss this information. Since Thomas seems to be a name that runs through my AMES family, wondering if there is any connection. In the household is the Mother-in-law of Thomas, named Mary MORAN, age 76 (I think), widowed, born Ireland.

I have been researching the Detzler family from Germany>Canada>MI. Nichlaus DETZLER and wife Magdalena FEDERSPIEL settled in Mecosta Co around 1871. One of their sons stayed in Canada and a few settled in Ogemaw Co.(have alot of information on these families). I am looking for information on the son Nicholas.
