Looking for info on James G. SEAMAN Sr b 1801/3 in NY/NJ. Came to Barry Co MI in 1849 and was a minister, prob Methodist. After his first wife died, he remarried to Ann TURNER. Marriage certificate ( March 7 1878) shows his residence as Millbrook, Mecosta County. Any info on his place of burial or other info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Terry.

Wanting to locate Robert M. French, husband of my deceased cousin, Virginia Grace HENDRICKS FRENCH. Virginia taught school (journalism) in the Big Rapids High School in the 1950's(?), 1960's and early 1970's until her untimely death in Dec. 1974. She was about 54 at the time of her death. Robert raised cattle in the area. In Dec. 1973, their address was Route 1, Box 65, Reed City, MI 49677. My family has had no contact with Robert since shortly after the death of his wife. The French's did not have any children. Robert should be in his 70's if he is still living. Any information about the location of Robert French would be appreciated. Also any info on the family prior to my cousin's death would be appreciated. I am trying to fill in gaps in our family history for my children.

Hello! My name is Tommie Fröjd, and I live in Venestad, Sweden. I`m looking for an old ancestor: Ola (Månsson) Fröjd, born 1814-03-16 in Harastorp, Djurröd parish, near Kristianstad in the south part of Sweden. His parents was Måns Svensson and Sissla Lundman. Ola emigrated to USA 1884-08-11. He went to L Big Rapid in Michigan. He was then 70 years old! Was he going to some relatives? Is there anybody who knows anything about him, please send me a note.

His name is Francis DARLING born in Mecosta, MI. 08 March 1874. Have a photo from the collection of Emmett & Rosanna (WHITSCELL) BROCKWAY noted as: Grandfather WILLETT, born 1780. Emmett was b. in Mecosta Co, 1848, his father William was 1st postmaster for Hinton Twp in 1862, and his paternal grandfather Andrew BROCKWAY is buried in Altona Cem, Hinton Twp. (1) The family of James C. Anderson (Jens C. Andersen) and Olga Houggard were in Big Rapids until the 1940's. (2) The families of Lorin and Mary Robbins, son William A. Robbins and Harriet Ring, and grandson Albert J. Robbins and Effie Elmer (Dunton) were in Barryton and/or Martiny from around 1889 to about 1948. Albert's brother, John W. Robbins, was also there for a time. (3) The family of James Smith and Mary Jane Evans (mother of Effie Elmer, above), were living in Sheridan Township in 1900, along with Mary Jane's nephew, Albert Snover. (4) There was a Charles Snover and wife Nettie in Fork Township in 1900. He is probably a relative (Uncle?) of Albert Snover, above.
