Kathy Abbey | I have copied several townships of the 1845 Oakland County, Michigan census published by the Oakland County Genealogical Society; including Pontiac, Troy, Bloomfield, West Bloomfield, Royal Oak, Avon, Milford, Farmington. (This census is available at Historical Library in Lansing, and Royal Oak City Library, with possibly a copy at Troy, Mich. City Library.) Shows name of H.O.H., and name of any males over the age of 21; as well as age and gender (only) of other persons in the household. Please restrict to requests for one surname and township at a time, as they are not indexed. In 1845, there were 30,288 persons in Oakland County- second only to Wayne County which had 32,267 persons. |
