OGEMAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN

AMISH CEMETERY

The Amish Cemetery is located on Rau Road about one-half mile east of M-30 in Edwards Township, Ogemaw
County, Michigan. This small cemetery has been fenced with a nice vinyl fence by the present landowner and is
apparently also maintained by the same landowner. There are only five tombstones with inscriptions, one of which is
barely legible and could only be read after placing the tombstone photo into a computer program and enhancing it.
There are three additional stones that could not be read as they have weathered smooth. Five field stones also
seem to be marking other graves within the fenced area.

This cemetery was read December, 2006 by Rose City Historical Society members Cathy Snider and Grace Dooley.
Anyone knowing of additional burials in this cemetery is asked to send the information to:
The Rose City Historical Society, Post Office Box 736, Rose City, Michigan 48654
