Charles D. Francisco, farmer, section 28, Hersey Township, was born Sept. 25,
1857, in Ontario Co., N.Y. His parents,
Henry D. and Charlotte (Chaffee) Francisco, are natives of the State of New
York. They came thence in 1861 and located
in Gratton Twosnhip, Kent Co., Mich. In 1868 they removed to the township of
Bown in the same county, whence, in 1876,
they came to Hersey Township and located on section 33, where they are now

Mr. Francisco accompanied his parents in their several removals, and was 18
years old when they came to Osceola County.
He was married Sept. 23, 1882, to Alta Sturdevant, and they are now the
parents of one child, Orra V., born Jan. 8,
1884. The mother was born June 19, 1858, in Yates Co., N.Y., and is the
daughter of Sheppard and Olivia (Cooper)
Sturdevant. Her parents are living in reed City, and her father is estimated
to be one of the best mechanics in Osceola
County. John, Francis and Alta are their three children.
Mr. Franciso belongs to the Republican element in politics.
