Death of Mrs. John Bottje
Very sad indeed was the death of Mrs. John Bottje, which occurred at 8 o’clock last evening from inflammation of the bowels. Mrs. Bottje was still a young women, 21 years of age, and death at that age, made passing doubly sad.
Besides her mourning husband, two little children, one a boy of fifteen months and the other an infant child only a few days old, will lose a mother’s loving care.
Mrs. Bottje was formerly Miss Alida Kerkhof of this city, She was held in the highest esteem and appreciation by a large circle of acquaintances and friends who mourn her departure and extend their sympathies to the husband. Deceased had always lived in the city. She was active in Sunday school work for years and was a member of the Christian Endeavor Society.
Funeral will occur Monday at 1:30 from the family residence on Sheldon street and at 2 o’clock from the First Reformed church of which Mrs. Bottje was a member.
