Jane Estelle Veersma, 70, of Holland died Friday, Nov. 10, 1995, at the Home of Hope in Grand Rapids.

A graduate of Holland High school in 1943, she attended Muskegon Business College. She was a medical assistant to Dr. William Harms, and a Campfire Girls leader for many years.

She married Fredrick Veersma Aug. 19, 1950

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Marie Rutherford.

Besides her husband she is survived by daughters, Linda Rutherford, Cheryl and Gary Arndt, Dawn and Jim Scheerhooren, all of Holland; six grandsons; four great-grandchildren; sister Helen and Jim Essenberg of Holland; an aunt, nephews, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Downtown Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home, 29 E. Ninth St., with the Rev. Paul Alderink officiating.

Burial is at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Downtown Chapel.
