GEORGETOWN GRANGE GETS SCHOOL FOR HOME

When Canada Hills school, Ottawa county, Mich., was consolidated into a township school the building was put up for sale. The Georgetown Grange No. 458 needed a new hall. The one they had was old, and it was thought that renovation wouldn't improve it for their purposes, so they sold the hall and bought the schoolhouse for $3100.
The two-room school has been converted to one room for Grange purposes. The basement has been made into kitchen, dining room, and heating quarters.
An acre of land surrounds the brick building and provides ample parking space. Since moving to their new quarters, the Grange's membership has been on the increase and is still growing. There are 108 members at present.
Master of the National Grange is Herschel Newsom from Hope, Indiana.
